OceanScore drives Asian shipping compliance

The latest to join the company’s growing client base is Japan’s Meiji Shipping Group, which has adopted the firm’s data-driven tools to navigate the complexities of the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and FuelEU Maritime regulation.

OceanScore’s head of commercial APAC, Leo Grayson, said the company’s Singapore office, opened last year, has been key to building a ‘robust regional presence’. “We are making our resources readily available for ship owners, operators and managers, while helping to demystify the regulations and support them on their pathway to compliance,” he said.

Meiji’s onboarding marks a milestone in OceanScore’s growth in Japan. Another client, Hong Kong-based Portline, said, “We’re thrilled to partner with OceanScore for our EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime compliance needs. Their reputation as the leading brand in Asia made them the clear choice.”

To build trust and awareness, OceanScore is hosting regular compliance workshops across major Asian maritime hubs and recently engaged Japanese stakeholders at the Imabari Ship Forum. The company also participated in Adventure Race Japan, raising funds for Mission to Seafarers.
