The contracts – worth a combined €9.35 million – cover the supply of shorepower systems for both newly built and existing container vessels.

“These significant orders from one of the world’s leading container shipping companies underline our strong position in the shorepower market,” said David Pagels, chief executive of Cavotec.

“They also demonstrate the customer’s confidence in our technology and our ability to deliver sustainable solutions to the maritime sector as well as strengthening the long-term partnership between us and this globally leading container shipping company.”

The first order, valued at €5.55 million, involves retrofitting a large number of existing vessels with Cavotec’s shore power systems. These upgrades will be carried out while the ships remain in active service across routes between Asia, the US and Europe. Deliveries are scheduled to begin this year and will continue through the end of 2026.

The second order, worth €3.8 million, supplements a previously announced €8.1 million contract from May 2025. This new order covers the integration of shore power systems into newly built container vessels, with deliveries starting in the second half of 2026.
