Accelleron’s Turbo MarineCare service hits 50-contract landmark
The long-term service agreement provides an all-inclusive, fixed-price model with a continuous warranty between major overhauls, aimed at helping operators control costs while maintaining optimal turbocharger performance.
Turbo MarineCare has been developed to offer financial predictability and operational confidence to ship operators. The fixed-price agreement includes the cost of major overhauls, whether carried out during dry docking or in port where feasible, and covers labour, standard spare parts and unexpected components for the full duration of the contract. All work is undertaken using original Accelleron parts and carried out by the company’s service specialists.
The service is digitally enabled, providing full transparency on equipment condition through an expert-in-the-loop solution. Using Accelleron’s LOREKA portal, operational data already available on board is analysed to monitor turbocharger health and generate optimisation and maintenance recommendations. The same data allows Accelleron technicians to carry out remote condition checks, removing the need for intermediate physical inspections.
The fiftieth contract reflects a growing preference among ship operators for comprehensive service agreements that provide full coverage. Among the customers adopting the model is Laskaridis Maritime, which entered into a Turbo MarineCare agreement with Accelleron in October.
Marios Maroulis, technical manager at Laskaridis Maritime, said the full-cover approach removes uncertainty from turbocharger maintenance. He noted that a single fixed fee, the use of original Accelleron parts and a continuous warranty supported by data-driven insights simplify maintenance planning and support reliable fleet operations.
