Lindenau delivers automated tanker

Importer

The 15,750 dwt Mariella Amoretti, which was delivered in May by German builder Lindenau to Italian owner Marichem Europe, is a further version of the yard`s Tanker Class 2000 design.

The 19,000m3 capacity chemical tanker Mariella Amoretti was developed jointly by the owner and the yard for the transport of IMO type 2 and 3 chemicals, crude oil and oil products. Cargo with a maximum specific gravity of 1.50 t/m3 can be accommodated in all of the 16 cargo tanks.

Integrated automation system

The vessel is fitted with a three-part automation system, consisting of: alarm monitoring, power management and control of engine auxiliary systems; cargo and ballast handling; and main engine control. Additionally, the system is linked via serial line or LAN with the valve control, tank radar, and ship`s administration systems.

Monitoring and operation is available (via an access code) at any of the work stations located on the bridge, cargo control room, or engine control room in an emergency.
