Touch screen control for radio

ICS Electronic has launched a GMDSS A2/A3 communication system called the ICS Touchcomm TC2. A touch screen display allows control of both the VHF and MF/HF radios via one common control panel, says ICS. The system is supplied in a steel case mounted on shock absorbers. Touchcomm is designed for use within A2 areas by vessels required to comply with IMO requirements. It is also suitable for use in A3 areas by smaller vessels which are not required to fully comply with IMO carriage requirements, says ICS.
