Adaptive video processing
The Decca BridgeMaster E series of marine radars from Litton incorporates an adaptive video processing system called Vision, which is designed to provide hands-free clutter suppression and gain control. With Vision, the system`s processor automatically adjusts sea/rain clutter and gain in response to changing conditions, even in close proximity to land, says Litton.
The sets are type approved to all of the new IMO resolutions for conventional and high-speed craft, meet all of the requirements of DVN Watch 1, and are designed to meet the requirements of all expected future IMO requirements, says the company.
The radars are available in a range of X-band and S-band configurations, with full colour displays in 180mm, 250mm and 340mm sizes.
The BridgeMaster E system uses a serial data link between the display and transceiver which, says Litton, reduces cable requirements and installation costs. Commissioning is achieved via on-screen set-up menus. BridgeMaster E is compatible with existing BridgeMaster radars, enabling customers to update existing systems progressively.
