Ody: Recently Wärtsilä NSD has secured orders for 25 Sulzer engines totalling 525MW, along with a host of medium-speed engines. The low-speed units include a 6RTA72 (16.4MW), two eight- and three seven-cylinder RTA62U (83MW), four 6RTA58T-B (51MW), eight 7RTA48T -B(166.4MW), and three 6RTA48T (24.5MW).

In addition there is an order for four Sulzer engines where the only information is the total output of 182.7 MW. Also one order has been changed from a 6 to 7RTA48T-B which added 1.5MW to the total.

On the medium-speed side, the company secured orders from Ingalls shipyard in the US for eight Wartsila 8V46C engines as main propulsion for American Classic Voyages? two cruise ships. Another eight 12V46C and six 9L20C engines will be delivered to Guangzhou shipyard in China for main propulsion and auxiliary power on two passenger vessels for Rederi AB Gotland.

A further four 12V38 and three 6L20 engines have been ordered by Hellenic Shipyard for main and auxiliary power on a Strintzis Lines ferry. Finally, four 6L26 engines will each power a tug in the Indian port of Mormugao.
