Ameron Coatings has launched DSP2, a waterborne inorganic pre-construction primer.

DSP2 combines a blend of metal silicates and zirconium compounds which improve the water resistance and decrease weld porosity compared with other pre-construction primers. It does not contain any Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), and is environmentally compliant, the company says.

The primer also provides corrosion protection and enhances the welding process during construction, and is compatible with many of Ameron?s coating systems, including Amercoat 385, Amercoat 235, and Amerlock 400, says Ameron.
