Monitoring via modem
The Amot Hawk-I Marine pump control system uses a wireless modem to provide the safe monitoring of temperature, pressure, flow and level of all on board pumps, including those located in hazardous areas.
The system can be used to sequence multiple pump systems, providing complete control and monitoring from the bridge, says Amot.
The unit utilises the power of a PLC with an embedded control system. Built-in alarm and shutdown functions are included, plus continuous scanning and display of processes, with a multi-launguage facility. Units handle both engine and motor driven pump systems.
The devices can be programmed simply and quickly using Amot HawkWin software, claimed to reduce programming by one-third. Run time meters can be programmed to signal scheduled maintenance, and one programmable controlled can be used for several differenct types of pump systems.
