VLCCs for HHI

Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG) has confirmed an order for two more 308,700 dwt VLCCs with Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in Korea. OSG – which now has a total of eight vessels on order, including two more VLCCs due to be delivered next year, and four Aframax tankers – continues to hold two more options for VLCCs.

The latest pair of VLCCs are slated for delivery in August 2001 and February 2002. The two ships covered in the remaining options are slated for delivery in November 2001 and February 2002, respectively, should the options be taken up.
