Control network : ABB launches fieldbus device

ABB Industria has launched a fieldbus device that enables drives to be used with LonWorks control networks.

The ABB NLON-01 LonWorks adapter module allows commands to be fed to a drive remotely to adjust its motor speed or torque reference. It can also read status information and actual values from the drive, change drive parameter values or reset a drive fault, says ABB.
