Cammell Laird has added to its drydock capacity on Merseyside with the purchase of Warbreck Engineering Ltd. The deal includes Warbreck?s lease on Clarence Dry Docks; three drydocks measuring up to 135.3m x 15.9m that service west coast tonnage such as tankers, tugs and OSVs.

“The acquisition is an important addition to the group as it increases our capacity for repair work on Merseyside. Clarence Dry Docks will enable us to provide a cost efficient service for smaller vessels, and concentrate the use of our existing Birkenhead docks for larger projects,” says finance director Jon Schofield.
