Cygnus 2 upgraded

The Cygnus 2 thickness gauge, which uses a multiple echo technique for taking measurements through coatings, has been upgraded. Features can now be selected via a menu-driven list with options including probe frequency, imperial/metric switching and displaying velocity of sound through the material. Selecting the correct operating frequency for the probe in use results in improved stability and reliability of readings, says Cygnus.

The unit has also been given an uprated error checking facility, an extended measuring range of up to 250mm and a low battery warning.
