Design tool for process industries

Ingmar has launched Caretronic, pipe production design and operation scheduling tool for use in continuous process industries. It uses a flexible telescopic system called Scopelink which incorporates a series of connecting straights and universal elbow joints.

Scopelink is equipped with electronic positioning sensors which generate the data of the desired pipe geometry from which a profile can be produced. The data allows the immediate production of Isometric drawings, says Ingmar.

In addition a range of CAD and materials processing software is available within the Isofab and Pipefab programmes, including packages specifically geared toward ship building, says the company.

A hand-held PC, the Unidat, is also available which, says Ingmar, is capable of withstanding North Sea conditions. Collected data is transmitted to the production base via a modem.
