Voyage management tool update

Shipping software provider BIMCO has released updates of its Voyage Estimator and Laytime Calculator.

Laytime Calculator 2000 is designed to produce demurrage and despatch calculations, laytime reports and standard time sheets.

Its main features include reversible and non-reversible calculations, combined calculation capabilities by assigning ports to groups and pre-input capabilities for working rules.

Vessels, clients, ports, working hours and exceptions are stored in databases and stored calculations may be filtered to enable comparisons.

Voyage Estimator 2000, which has been completely remodelled says BIMCO, is designed to compute the profit/loss and T/C equivalent of a voyage, calculated on the basis of estimated freight, expenses, fuel consumption, distance between ports and other voyage particulars. Sensitivity reports can be produced and break-even rates determined, says BIMCO.
