RCCL confirms two more Eagles

Importer

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines has signed a letter of intent for two more Eagle class cruise ships from Kvaerner Masa-Yards, Finland (see Cruise).

These ships would be the fourth and fifth in the series of 142,000g, 3,114-passenger ships, the first of which was Voyager of the Seas, delivered by the yard last November. Currently under construction are Explorer of the Seas, and Adventure of the Seas, due for delivery in 2000, and 2001 respectively.

The two latest additions, worth a total of $1.1 billion, will be delivered in 2002, and 2003.
