More in less space
PBE says the latest version of its AutoLog AL20 programmable logic controller gives a higher specification with bigger power and performance on a smaller footprint. It is mounted on a printed circuit board measuring 177 x 108 x 35mm and is suitable for panel or DIN mounting.
Up to eight analogue or 28 digital inputs, and two analogue or 12 digital outputs can be set, not all together but in desired combinations, says PBE.
There are eight PID controllers and all controller parameters can be changed via a PC. On-line programming allows any changes to be made while the system is running and without having to stop the PLC, says PBE. A memory holds 8,000 standard program lines and 260 different programme instructions may be entered.
An RS232/485 serial interface is standard and a second RS232 port is optional. Communication protocol available is Modbus set as master or slave and an additional feature is GSM/TETRA/radio modem connectivity.
