Advice on CD-ROM

Spanish company Detegasa , manufacturer of Delta bilge water separators, sewage treatment plants, and marine incinerators has produced a free CD-ROM to give owners and shipyards detailed information on waste management on board vessels.

Entitled High Tech on the High Seas the CD-ROM is devised as a problem solving tool, says the company. It includes a nupdate on the latest MARPOL regulations on management of wastes, with emisiion restrcitions, required equipment and certifications. An animated operation shown how each type of equipment works, and help with the selection and size of equipment required for a specific vessel. A technical specification is produced of the selected equipment, with drawings, the scope of supply, and installation requirements.
