Deltamarin opens US office
Finnish engineering and consultancy firm Deltamarin has opened an office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in order to develop the market for safety, after sales and conversion work in the cruise ship sector. Typical services offered by Deltamarin include total safety assessments, passenger evacuation simulations and engineering for conversions and upgrades to machinery and technical spaces.
A co-operation agreement has also been signed with Finnish refurbishment specialist ALMACO to extend both companies? activities in the growing market for conversion and refurbishment of cruise ship cabins and public spaces. ALMACO has already worked with owners such as Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Star and Cunard. Working together, the two companies can offer a complete package including space inspections, 3-D computer modelling, planning, design, material handling, logistics and installation.
