Engine room extinguisher from Kashiwa

Kashiwa has launched a fire extinguisher for fighting fires in the engine room. Called Hyper-Mist it uses a high pressure jet nozzle and is suitable for use on ships of all sizes including VLCCs, says Kashiwa. The company says it has received an order from a South Korean shipyard for 14 units and provisional orders from Japanese yards for about 30 units.
