Roxtec launches SRC frame to prevent cracks in thin bulkheads

Roxtec, which makes the MultiDiameter sealing system for cable and pipe penetrations, has launched an SRC frame designed to prevent cracks in thin bulkheads. The frame is tested and approved for A and H classed decks and bulkheads, says the company. It has an inner corner radius of 20mm and an external corner radius of 30mm, which makes it suitable for weight optimised bulkheads and helps avoid cracks around pipe and cable inlets, says Roxtec. The frame is designed to minimise the loss of packing space and Roxtec says its rounded corners allow a continuous welding sequence. Each MultiDiameter module can be adapted to the cable and pipe diameter by peeling sheets away from the centre. Six module sizes are available designed to seal cables and pipes between 4mm and 99mm.
