Skimoil introduces two EatsWaste systems

Skimoil has introduced two new waste minimisation systems. The RM97 Wiseash/Eatstrash marine batch incinerator is designed to handle the solid wastes produced on workboats and offshore rigs. The cart-mounted unit will burn oily wastes including filters, rags, absorbents, waste oils and other non-hazardous materials including paper, cardboard and galley wastes. It can be used with or without an external fuel source and reduces waste to an average of 3% of the original volume, says Skimoil. With the Eatsoil fuel injector option, waste oil can be used to burn high moisture content wet waste materials. The incinerator will burn 50 lbs of solid waste or six gallons of waste oil per hour. Also new from the company is the RS1O1 Bilgevap/Eatswater evaporator system which, says Skimoil, eliminates the water portion of oily bilge water. The zero liquid discharge system is designed to fit below decks and evaporate four gallons of water per hour powered by the vessel?s generators. The unit has no moving parts, has an insulated 55 gallon tank and will run unattended for 13 hours before needing refilling, says the company.
