MeCA releases MTML Version 1.5

The Maritime eCommerce Association has released version 1.5 of the Marine Trading Mark-Up Language (MTML), the electronic data exchange standard for the marine procurement sector. The company says that this release addresses a number of functional issues relating to ease of use of the standard and adds to the existing set of business transactions. Version 1.5 of MTML can be downloaded at www.meca.org.uk. Version 2.0, scheduled for release early next year, is expected to include enumeration of trading partners, attachments, invoicing, cataloguing and units of measure.
