Rise passes MOD tests

CSD Sealing Systems says its Rise range of cable and pipe transit conduit sealing systems and its Sealing Plug system have all successfully passed a range of MOD Standard shock tests. The tests were carried out in accordance with the Naval Engineering Standard NE5814 and prove the system?s suitability for use on upcoming naval surface ships and submarine contracts, as well as refits and refurbishments, says the company. Testing was carried out by Qinetiq which subjected samples to shock levels of 750G and 850G in both a longitudinal and vertical arrangement as well as pressure tests.
