CSX Lines to introduce wave software system

Resurgence Software and CSX Lines have signed a software licensing agreement for Resurgence to implement its Wave Software System on all sixteen vessels in the CSX Lines fleet and at selected shore-side locations. The Wave Software System is designed to provide the reliability information and analysis tools for making equipment maintenance and procurement decisions. It also captures equipment performance data in a standard format and structure that allows the benchmarking of performance internally between ships and externally against industry standards, says Resurgence. This allows companies to implement continuous improvement in ship system reliability by focusing resources on preventing and reducing the consequences of failures of equipment with the highest impact on vessel profitability, says the company.
