Austal gets naval patrol boat contract

Austal Ships and its partner Defence Maritime Services were this week confirmed as the designer and builder and through-life support provider (DMS) of the Royal Australian Navy?s new fleet of Armidale Class patrol boats. This project involves the construction of twelve 56 metre naval patrol boats over a period of three and a half years and their subsequent support over a service life of 15 years.
