Mipo completes 100th ship

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard recently named the 100th ship since it entered the newbuilding market in 1996. The 35,000DWT product carrier was named Cape Bruny and was ordered by Schoeller Holdings Ltd today. Delivery is scheduled on 15 January.

The shipbuilder has delivered 66 product carriers, eight container ships, 10 bulkers and five cable layers since it entered the newbuilding business.

Meanwhile, the Ulsan-based shipbuilder has delivered 20 ships in 2001, 30 ships in 2002 and 32 ships in 2003 and targets to deliver 35 ships this year.
