Norcontrol IT vtmis for Port Salalah

Port Salalah in Oman has selected Norcontrol IT as its supplier of choice for a new Vessel Traffic Management and Information System (VTMIS).

Norcontrol IT will supply an advanced suite of products, based on its benchmark VTMIS5060, which is already in use at over 40 ports throughout the world.

“In preparation for the forthcoming introduction of the ISPS code, Port Salalah required a VTMIS system capable of meeting the stringent safety and security standards the code introduces. Captain Ahmed Abduallah Tahir, Harbour Master of Port Salalah, believes that the VTMIS5060 solution is more than capable of meeting these standards.
