Daewoo continues to win more orders

Daewoo Shipbuilding in Korea continues to win new orders and the latest contracts involve a 145,000 cbm LNG carrier from Golar LNG Limited in Norway and a 159,000DWT Suezmax tanker from Sociedade Nacional De Angola in Angola. The total value amounts to $210 million.

The Golar order includes an option for one more LNG carrier and the newbuildings will measure 285.4 metres long, have a breadth of 43.3 metres, a depth of 26 metres and a service speed of 19.5 knots. The Sociedade Nacional De Angola order has two options attached and each tanker will measure 274 metres long, 48 metres beam and a depth of 23.7 metres.

Deliveries are scheduled for May 2006.
