MEP waste water system for Silver Seas cruise ship

Italy-based ISIR in a strategic alliance with West Palm Beach-based Marine Environmental Partners (MEP) has sold the recently certified MariSan A-WWTP (Advanced Waste Water Treatment Plant) to the Silver Seas? cruise ship, Silver Shadow. The system has been delivered and will be in operation prior to the ship?s Alaska itinerary, which begins in May 2004. An option for a second system for the Silver Whisper is pending approval.

The order for the MariSan A-WWTP 250-ton/day grey and black water system, was arranged by V-Ships of Monte Carlo, Monaco, Silver Seas? technical manager. This innovative electro-chemical system meets the most stringent clean water standards set by Alaska, the IMO Marpol Annex IV and the U.S. Coast Guard. It handles all waste waters produced onboard, ensures consistent effluent quality without membranes or bio-reactors, offers low life-cycle costs, and features a small, modular footprint. Additionally, it requires minimal crew interface because it?s equipped with a fully automatic programmable logic control system that self-monitors and self-adjusts to changes in water chemistry.

MEP formed a strategic alliance with ISIR to build and certify a marine wastewater treatment plant utilizing MEP?s MariSan technology, for ISIR to market and sell these systems in certain European markets, and to jointly manufacture and install A-WWTP systems worldwide together with MEP.
