Simrad launches compact integrated AIS

Simrad has launched a new AIS system with display and controls integrated with the AIS Class A Mobile Station. The AI71 is based on identical technology to Simrad?s existing AI70, but does not require an external Minimum Keyboard Display (MKD) for operation. Meeting IMO standards and regulations, the AI71 provides a compact, cost effective solution with the added advantage of simplified installation.

The AI71 has a four line display capable of displaying all text based AIS information. Control is user-friendly with dedicated keys for all main functions offering simple operation and maximum safety onboard. The AI71 can be interfaced with Radar, ECDIS and ECS as standard, in order to display AIS data over electronic charts and radar images.
