Far Eastern yards busy with deliveries

Far Eastern shipbuilders have been busy delivering ships. Hyundai Mipo Dockyard delivered the 46,000DWT product carrier Pamir to Novoship in Russia two months ahead of schedule. Ship particulars are 183m long, 32.2m wide and a depth of 18.8m with a service speed of 14.6 knots.

Samho Shipbuilding in South Korea delivered the 3,500DWT chemical tanker Samho Victory to Samho Shipping. Measuring 91.6m long, 14.4m wide and 7.5m in depth, the vessel is powered by a 2,403kW MAN B&W 6S26MC main diesel engine giving a service speed of 13 knots.

Guangzhou Shipyard (GSI) in China delivered the fourth product carrier ordered by Emerald Shipping in Italy. It is named Meriom Pride.

Tianjin Xingang Shipyard, a member of China Shipbuilding Industry Corp, completed the construction of the first great lake bulk carrier. Ordered by Parakou Shipping in Hong Kong at a reported price of $16.5 million, the vessel is 199.9m long, 23.7m wide with a depth of 15.3m. The shipbuilder also laid the keel for a second ship.

Kawasaki Shipbuilding in Japan delivered a 145,494 cbm Moss type LNG carrier to Oasis LNG. Named Muscat LNG, the tanker measures 289.5m long, 49m wide and 27m deep with a draft of 11.9m and a service speed of 19.5 knots.
