Super yacht wipers from Wynn Marine

Amels Shipyard in Holland has installed a Wynn Marine wiper system for the bridge windows on its 2nd largest super yacht project to date. Ilona is fitted with a Wynn Type C wiper system and Series 3000 digital control network.

The 73.69 metre luxury vessel was launched in 2003 and was handed over to the

owner in March 2004. Tony Parker, Sales Manager at Wynn Marine was present

for the wiper system installation. “The durability of the Type C system is

perfect for this type of ship. Ilona really is a stunning vessel, built

to exacting standards and our wiper system will ensure that the crew have

perfect visibility from the bridge in all conditions.”

The Type C features an internal motor and straight line wiping action for

maximum window clearance at high speeds. This heavy-duty system not only

works faultlessly in all environments but looks good too ? an important

aspect on today’s breed of luxury vessels.

The Series 3000 control system is Wynn?s most advanced wiper control

system. Its digital network is easy to install and makes operating wipers

solo or in groups a simple affair. The system can be fitted with either a

?touch-pad? or ?touch-screen? controller, both of which offer expanded

functionality for control of other bridge equipment. The digital nature of

the system also means that both controllers look the part at the bridge of

a high-tech super yacht.
