Hansa orders another pair from STX
German shipping company Hansa Treuhand has exercised options with the Korean shipbuilder STX for two more 3,500TEU boxships for delivery in September and October 2007. To be named HS Bach and HS Chopin, these vessels will measure 246.8 metres long, 32.2 metres wide, a depth of 19.3 metres and have a service speed of 23.5 knots.
With this latest order, Hansa now has 12 containerships under construction comprising of four units each of 2,800, 3,500 and 5,000TEUs.
