STX and Posco jointly developed LTCMS

STX Shipbuilding in Korea has, together with Posco, jointly develop lower temperature carbon manganese steel for NV2-4 for the first time in South Korea. NV2-4 LTCMS is a necessary material for manufacturing LPG tank and suitable for Ammonia and VCM.

By developing this steel which is used in the manufacturing of LPG tanks to carry ammonia and VCM, Korean shipbuilders will be able to obtain the LTCMS from Posco much more quickly compared with the 6 months delivery for imports. An added advantage will be lower prices.
