Aker Yards to build PSV for DOF ASA

Aker Brattvaag, a company in the Aker Yards Group, has been awarded a contract worth approximately NOK 200 million by DOF ASA to build a Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) of the MT 6000 type. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2005.

“Aker Yards is pleased to have received another newbuilding order from DOF ASA,” comments Roy Reite, Aker Yards Group SVP in charge of Aker Yards’ Offshore Service Vessel business segment. “This contract also is an indicator that the offshore market is picking up.”

Aker Yards has also entered into a conditional contract to build an MT 6009 vessel for DOF ASA. The conditions pertaining to this agreement will be clarified next month.
