Work on Longxue shipyard started

Construction work has commenced on the Longxue shipbuilding facility, South China?s largest shipbuilding base. The new shipyard complex will aim to be among the top shipbuilders in the world as well as being the biggest shipyard in South China. According to the plan, the first-phase task is to build two 300,000dwt size dry docks with an investment of RMB4.5 billion. Large container ships and oil tankers will be built and annual shipbuilding capacity will be 2 to 3 million DWT.
