Halter launches PCTC

V-T Halter Marine has launched a 178 metre vessel designed to transport more than 3,000 vehicles between California and Hawaii. The M-V Jean Anne is the first of its kind to be built in the United States.

The ship is owned by Pasha Hawaii Transport Lines, a joint venture between The Pasha Group of Corte Madera, California, and Strong Vessel Operators, of Stamford, Connecticut. With a beam of 31.40 metres and a draft of 8.62 metres, the ship also can transport rolling stock, household goods and containerized cargoes on its ten decks.

Based in Pascagoula, V-T Halter Marine is the marine operations subsidiary of Vision Technologies Systems.
