Go slow at Maltese shipyard

A from Monday, workers in Malta?s shipyard will work to rule. The General Workers Union (GWU) said that it ordered the dispute after the ultimatum it gave to the management to sign the agreement, expired at the end of last week.

For the past months, the union has been negotiating with the management and with the government in an attempt to clear some points of the collective agreement that was signed in November 2003. The union does not exclude escalating the actions as necessary.
