Gulf Marine relocates shipyard

The former Tampa Electric Hooker’s Point power plant site is the new site for Gulf Marine?s shipyard facility. Gulf Marine plans to relocate most of its shipyard operations at the Port of Tampa to the 32-acre site over the next 12 to 18 months.

The company is currently involved in leasing negotiations with the Tampa Port Authority although the lease for the current facilities does not expire until next April.
