VLCC trio for DSME

Daewoo Shipbuilding has secured a $370 million newbuilding order for three 306,000dwt VLCCs from Pacific Star International Holding Corp. At $124 million each, this is the highest price paid for a VLCC newbuilding which has doubled since 2002.

These VLCCs are 332 metres long, 58 metres wide and 31 metres deep and will have a service speed of 15.4 knots. All three newbuildings will be delivered by November 2008.
