Korean maritime players to enhance cooperation

Korean shipbuilders and marine equipment manufacturers have signed a cooperation agreement for mutual development. As a result of this agreement, Korean shipbuilders aim to increase the content of Korean made equipment from the present 80% to over 90% by actively supporting equipment makers in the field of technology, information and funding.

Kim Jing Wan, chairman of Korea Shipbuilders? Association, stressed that co-operation between Korean shipbuilders and equipment makers is necessary for Korean shipbuilders to progress.
