Samsung and MISC to build LNG repair shipyard

Samsung Heavy Industries is examining a proposal to set up an LNG ship repair yard in conjunction with Malaysia International Shipping Corporation Berhad (MISC), a subsidiary of Petronas.

The South Korean shipbuilder is also reviewing proposal from China Shipping Group to build and operate a large shipbuilding facility in China. CSG plans to build 1,458 acres of space with an annual shipbuilding capacity of 5 million DWT.
