Kogas to build ice classed LNG carrier

Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas) has invited bids to build four LNG carriers, two of which will be ice classed, to carry 3.5 million tonnes of LNG from 2008. The LNG carriers will have a cargo carrying capacity of at least 145,000 cbm. One ice classed LNG carrier for Sakhalin should be delivered on March, 2008, with the other three gas tankers slated for completion by November 2008.
