Ulstein wins Solstad construction vessel

Solstad Offshore ASA has entered into an agreement with Ulstein Verft AS to build a large construction service vessel. The new vessel will have a length of 130 m and width of 28 m, will be equipped with a 250t offshore crane, 2000 m2 working deck and DP class 3.

Contract price is around $100 million and scheduled delivery time is May 2007. At the time of writing, the vessel is uncommitted. Solstad is one of the leading owners and operators of construction service vessels in the world and operates 8 vessels and have two more under construction.
