Keel laying for RNN vessel

The keel laying ceremony of the new logistic support vessel for the Royal Netherlands Navy took place at Damen Shipyards Galati, Romania. The new 56 metre long vessel will replace the current vessel named HM “Pelikaan” and will be based in the Caribbean for the transport of equipment and personnel mainly in the Netherlands Antilles. Delivery is scheduled for May 2006.
