SUEZ signs for two LNG vessels

SUEZ LNG Trading SA of France has signed two 20-year charter agreements with Bergesen Worldwide Gas ASA for a pair of LNG carriers to deliver Yemen LNG to North America.

The vessels, each of which will have a capacity of 156,100m3, are scheduled for delivery from Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in 2009. Shipments of LNG will begin in 2009 from a liquefaction plant in Yemen under construction near Bal Haf on the Gulf of Aden. Production is to begin by yearend 2008.
