Samsung lands drill ship

Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea has secured a deal with Stena Drilling to build a drill ship worth in the region of $550 million. The vessel is slated for delivery in June 2008 and will then be deployed in West Africa and the North Sea to carry out deepwater oil and natural gas exploration. It is the most expensive drill ship to be ordered from a Korean shipbuilder.
