Orders continue being placed in China and Korea

Bohai Shipbuilding in China won an order for two 300,000DWT VLCCs and eight 50,000DWT product carriers from Nanjing Tanker Corporation at a total cost of around $500 million. No delivery date has been revealed.

Shanghai Chengxi Shipyard in China secured five 53,000DWT bulk carriers from Parakou in Hong Kong. Total contract price is $150 million and will be delivered by May 2009.

STX Shipbuilding clinched two 2,700TEU container ships from NYK Line in Japan with delivery of 2009.

Sungdong Shipbuilding in Korea won a new order for two 75,000DWT product carriers and eight 47,000DWT product carriers from Enterprise in Greece for delivery during 2008.
