Largest boxship christened
The world’s largest container ship, a 9,500 TEU post-Panamax vessel classed by Germanischer Lloyd, has been christened ?COSCO NINGBO?. The 350 m long, 42.8 m wide 109,149 DWT ship was built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea for the Greek ship owner Costamare and is chartered by COSCO. It is the first in a five-ship series.
